Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, located in Plano, Texas, offers a hands-on co-op in mechanical/HVAC/energy design for engineering students. You will learn how we design and implement mechanical systems and energy-efficient measures on real CMTA projects, under professional engineers' supervision.

This paid, full-time onsite program runs for one or more semesters starting January 2027, with potential for future full-time employment after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, preferably a sophomore (2nd year), or junior (3rd year)
• Strong interest in Building Systems Mechanical Engineering
• AutoCAD and REVIT experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed layout and equipment details of HVAC systems
• Produce one-line diagrams/schematics
• Assist the design team in the process of assembling organized sets of drawings
• May assist in the data collection and/or field verification
• Work in conjunction with designers and engineers to help develop all aspects of a project
