Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Company is offering an on-site Human Resources intern position at our McCalla, AL facility. The role supports hiring, onboarding, talent management and engagement, with 16–24 hours per week and flexible scheduling.

You will work with plant leadership and HR to optimize talent processes, assist in recruiting, events and HR operations, and drive process improvements across the site. This is a hands-on, developmental internship with mentorship and real responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Sophomore or junior standing in a field like Human Resources, Organizational Management or Psychology.
• Strong time-management, communication and teamwork, with attention to detail and professionalism in HR.
• Clear interest in a Manufacturing HR career.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with plant leadership and HR to attract, retain, and engage talent in line with business strategy.
• Assist recruiting activities for technical and hourly positions (sourcing, screening, interviewing).
• Coordinate local site operations such as community relations, employee appreciation events, and HR communications.
