Job summary

Romet Limited in Indianapolis, onsite, seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Technologist to drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing floor. You will analyze workflow, optimize equipment layouts, and collaborate with product development to ensure manufacturability.

You will lead projects to reduce costs, improve throughput, and maintain quality through testing methods, KPIs, and CMMS. A strong CAD background and GD&T experience are valued, with opportunities for coaching and growth.

Qualifications

• College or University degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years in electronics manufacturing or mechanical manufacturing or technical assembly.
• GD&T experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to improve manufacturing efficiency using lean methodologies and automating processes where applicable.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
• Collaborate with Product Development to ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness.
• Understand equipment capabilities and methods to ensure product quality and efficiency.
• Support training of operators and development of work instructions and training materials.
• Design testing methods and establish process standards to assure quality and capability.
• Provide cost analysis and drive cost reduction initiatives.
• Pilot new product introduction within production and supply chain.
• Recommend process and technical design changes to improve capacity, throughput, cost and safety.
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement PCRs.
• Generate and monitor production data to create weekly KPIs.
• Provide engineering support to troubleshoot and resolve constraints.
• Investigate design/process revisions to reduce scrap and rework.
• Monitor CMMS implementation.
• All other duties as assigned.
