Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Burnsville, MN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to apply engineering knowledge to efficiently solve complex manufacturing problems for electrical/mechanical pressure sensing devices. This onsite role collaborates with manufacturing, maintenance, quality, supply chain and design teams to drive productivity, quality, and cost improvements.

You will learn and apply process SPC, use SAP and Creo, and contribute to PFMEA and Control Plans.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with minimum 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree; without a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production documentation for each process and routing.
• Attain MRB signature authority (Material Dispositioning).
• Learn operation and programming of all assigned equipment.
• Identify defects and learn mitigations for processes.
• Use data analytics and SPC to drive productivity and FPY improvements.
• Develop cost savings projects and improve safety and efficiency.
