Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Production Quality Engineer to support production, new product introductions, and value stream activities in Burnsville, MN. You will be the quality focal within operations and cross-functional teams, driving problem-solving and process improvements.

Responsibilities include applying APQP concepts, PFMEA, and Control Plans; ensuring compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001; and supporting certifications and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• US citizenship is required to access information under the program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Apply basic problem-solving methodologies (8D, Root Cause Analysis) to identify and resolve problems.
• Support new product development and launches using APQP concepts and related tools (PFMEA, Control Plans).
• Apply understanding of quality management standards (AS/EN9100, ISO 9001) and certification processes.
• Support customer-specific quality system certification requirements and corrective actions.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing tools (Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Continuous Flow) to drive process improvements.
• Analyze Cost of Quality and Cost of Non-Conformance to reduce waste and costs.
• Address issues of limited scope and complexity with structured problem-solving.
