Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Manchester, Iowa is seeking a Manufacturing Electrical Engineer Co-Op to join the on-site manufacturing support team for the Summer/Fall 2027 session. It offers hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing and test techniques.

You will work alongside engineers, technicians and operators to learn, analyze test data and contribute to continuous improvement efforts, while balancing coursework and the co-op schedule.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mfg Systems, Aerospace or related STEM field through the co-op.
• Must have completed at least 60 credit hours prior to start of the internship/co-op session.

Responsibilities

• Work with Manufacturing Electrical Engineers, test technicians, and production staff to resolve test, product flow, quality, ergonomic and safety issues.
• Collect, prepare, and assist in analyzing test failures to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Identify root causes of manufacturing defects and implement corrective measures.
• Support or lead site initiatives from a technical perspective.
• Assist in development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
