Job summary

RTX Corporation’s Collins Aerospace Manchester, IA facility is seeking an on-site Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer Co‑Op for Summer/Fall 2027. You will work full‑time, Monday–Friday, alongside engineers and production staff to address product flow, quality, ergonomic and safety issues using advanced manufacturing techniques.

This internship emphasizes developing fixtures, tooling, root-cause analysis, and hands-on experience with laser machines and 3D printers to support manufacturing

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related STEM.
• Completion of at least 60 credit hours prior to the start of the co‑op.

Responsibilities

• Join a full‑time, Monday‑Friday co‑op session June‑December; take the semester off from coursework.
• Collaborate with Industrial Engineers and manufacturing staff to resolve flow, quality, ergonomic, and safety issues.
• Develop or improve fixtures or tooling; build, verify, and implement fixtures.
• Identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions; program laser machines and 3D printers.
