firstPRO, Inc. is recruiting an Accounting Manager in Malvern, PA.

This onsite role oversees the financial operations of a major manufacturing division with about $25 million in revenue and leads the close process, reporting, and cost accounting initiatives. The ideal candidate brings 6+ years in manufacturing accounting, deep cost and project accounting expertise, and the ability to present results to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong background in cost accounting, project accounting, inventory costing, and manufacturing financial analysis.
• Experience communicating financial results to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for a major manufacturing division.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Prepare and review balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reporting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Monitor divisional cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage project-based cost accounting, including job costing and profitability.
• Oversee inventory accounting and physical inventory processes.
• Maintain standard costing and analyze variances and manufacturing costs.
• Maintain cost data within ERP/MRP systems and provide insights.
• Develop weekly and monthly financial metrics for management.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Partner with production, purchasing, operations, and materials teams for decisions.
• Present results and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Support ERP enhancements and process improvements.
• Help scale the accounting function and grow the team.
