Job summary

firstPRO, Inc seeks a Plant Controller/Accounting Manager to lead financial operations for a key manufacturing division (about $25M in revenue). This hands-on role emphasizes project and cost accounting, financial reporting, inventory management and operational analysis.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing accounting expertise, strong leadership, and a track record of process improvement to support growth. Experience with ERP/MRP and GAAP is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 6+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, cost accounting, and inventory costing.
• System implantation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR, and fixed assets.
• Manage month-end close and prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Oversee project costing, inventory valuation, standard costing and variances.
• Analyze production costs, profitability, labor efficiency and overhead.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Maintain internal controls and GAAP compliance.
• Partner with operations, production, and purchasing teams to support objectives.
• Support ERP/MRP systems and process improvements.
• Develop and lead a small accounting team as the business grows.
