Job summary

firstPRO, Inc is partnering with a growing manufacturing company to fill a newly created Cost Accountant role. You will own manufacturing cost accounting, inventory, WIP, and job costing, shaping processes as the business scales.

Based in Philadelphia, the role offers a competitive salary of $70K-$80K and a comprehensive benefits package, including a zero-deductible medical/dental plan for five dollars per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of accounting experience, including manufacturing cost accounting experience.
• Knowledge of inventory, WIP, and job costing.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience; Epicor is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing cost accounting, inventory, WIP, and job costing.
• Analyze material, labor, overhead, and purchase price variances.
• Perform inventory reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities.
• Support standard costing, AP controls, and ERP process improvements.
• Partner with Purchasing, Production, and Operations to improve cost accuracy and reporting.
