Job summary

DigiKey Electronics is seeking a Resident Maintenance Technician to support KNAPP automation at the PDC Barzen facility. You will apply electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated system knowledge to maximize uptime and efficiency, under supervision from Maintenance leadership.

The role requires on-site availability, handling varying voltages, calibrations, and providing training and documentation to DigiKey staff while ensuring safety and reliability of critical automation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-8 years of verifiable progressive experience as Maintenance Repairman, Maintenance Electrician, Machine Repairman, or Industrial Maintenance Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of verifiable mechanical/electrical experience.
• Associates degree in Electrical, Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology preferred.
• Experience with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Rectify electro-mechanical faults and report PLC issues with safety focus.
• Maintain conveyor and precision automation equipment.
• Provide first-class support for automated storage and retrieval systems; respond to problems promptly.
• Provide emergency breakdown and specialized maintenance service support; meet timelines.
• Calibrate precision automation equipment and set up systems as required.
• Create strong working relationships within DigiKey to enable component distribution on the automated system.
