Job summary

DigiKey Electronics is seeking an experienced Resident Maintenance Technician for its on-site PDC Barzen facility. This role focuses on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including KNAPP automation, VFDs, and automated storage systems.

You will work under Maintenance Supervisors to maximize uptime and efficiency and must be comfortable with 5:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m. weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3–8 years in maintenance/industrial roles preferred.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and PLC logic.
• Associates degree in Electrical/Electrical Engineering or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rectify electro-mechanical faults and report PLC issues with safety focus.
• Maintain conveyor and precision automation equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and complete reactive repairs on time.
• Calibrate and set up precision automation equipment; test and document results.
• Lead mechanical strip-downs, wiring, and system testing as needed.
• Maintain clear, thorough reports and communicate progress to supervisors.
