Job summary

Greystar in Wesley Chapel, FL, seeks a property maintenance technician to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, and amenities meet Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. You will handle work orders, make-ready tasks for leasing, and coordinate with vendors while maintaining safety and budget guidelines.

A high school diploma and hands-on maintenance experience are required; EPA HVAC certs preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools and be skilled in safe use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively to represent company management and interact with residents and staff.
• Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and database management; PM system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and perform routine maintenance per safety standards and code requirements.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units, inspect, schedule vendors, obtain materials, and ensure timely readiness for leasing.
• Develop and maintain standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Inspect work by team members and contractors, and coordinate with Community Manager on budget and supplies.
• Assist in safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance and proper MSDS documentation.
