Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing Company requires a Maintenance Supervisor to plan, organize, and supervise daily maintenance operations at the Montgomery Plant, onsite in Montgomery, AL. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field with 5 years' experience in industrial maintenance.
• Strong knowledge in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, and buildings.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance procedures and planning.
• Ability to lead others with troubleshooting results in reduced downtime.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and team collaboration experience.
• Ability to develop and train employees and have good organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze problems and implement improvements.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with other functional areas.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of hourly Maintenance Department Employees including electricians, maintenance mechanics, and others.
• Directs electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of machinery and buildings.
• Supervises maintenance staff by workloads, schedules, policies, evaluations, and training.
• Direct planning, layout and ordering of materials for repairs, servicing, and construction.
• Plan department workload to minimize downtime.
• Interact professionally with all departments and management to meet objectives.
• Conduct safety meetings and train hourly employees on safety habits.
• Assume responsibility for instruction and training of employees.
• Assist in staff selection; evaluate subordinates and handle discipline as required.
• Oversee completion/documentation of maintenance work orders and assist with complex tasks.
• Respond to emergencies; coordinate with responders and manage resources for safety and repair.
