Job summary

Rheem in Montgomery, AL seeks a Master Mechanic Tech (Electrical) for first shift. This role provides technical leadership for maintenance of plant machinery and equipment, supporting water heating facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years Industrial Maintenance experience.
• Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology preferred.
• Must have working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
• Proficient with personal computer and maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance foremen across shifts.
• Set departmental procedures and enforce policies for efficient operation.
• Interpret drawings and specifications for maintenance work.
• Plan coordination between plants to optimize teamwork.
• Maintain well-trained maintenance staff and ensure material availability.
• Control costs, safety, and housekeeping in the maintenance department.
• Foster positive employee-management relations and training.
• Approve merit and promotions for foremen.
• Liaise with vendors and company representatives.
• Lead complex production process improvements and project estimates.
