Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing Company is seeking a Master Mechanic in Montgomery, AL to provide technical leadership for maintenance across plant machinery, tooling, and facilities. You will lead preventive maintenance, support facility changes, and work on design/evaluation of process equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience.
• Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and repair procedures.
• Ability to use PC with Microsoft Office and maintenance software.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, multimeter).
• Ability to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance foremen and coordinate shift activities.
• Develop and enforce departmental procedures aligned with corporate policies.
• Interpret drawings and directives for maintenance planning.
• Plan interdepartmental work to optimize cooperation and efficiency.
• Manage availability of materials and tools for maintenance schedules.
• Control quality, costs, safety, and housekeeping within the department.
• Establish training and resolve employee relations issues.
• Represent the company with external vendors and project partners.
• Lead complex production process improvements and automation projects.
• Support productivity initiatives and cost reduction efforts.
