Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a skilled machinist for an on-site role. You will perform diverse machining operations, read complex drawings, and train teammates to produce parts to tight tolerances. The position emphasizes setup accuracy, choosing feeds and speeds, and maintaining tool and fixture conditions.

You will work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure quality and on-time production. The role requires basic math, blueprint reading, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while

Qualifications

• Prefer some short-term trades training and minimum one year prior machining experience.
• Must be capable of learning to run PC accurately.
• Ability to plan and perform a sequence of operations, where standard or recognized operation methods are available and make decisions as to quality, tolerances, operation, and set-up.
• Thorough knowledge of feeds, speeds, materials, and work-holding devices (fixtures, arbors, jaws, etc.), as well as thorough understanding of production processes.
• Solid basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, ratios).
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to accurately record daily production.
• Ability to work in a team environment, and to instruct, direct, and train others.

Responsibilities

• Perform diversified semi-skilled machining operations to generate close tolerance parts adhering to print specs.
• Read and interpret drawings, charts, instructions, and diagrams.
• Provide instruction/training to other employees to develop skills and production parts to specifications.
• Set-up, adjust, and operate a wide variety of machining equipment and parts to close tolerance.
• Make exacting setups and select feeds, speeds, and sequences as needed.
• Load/unload parts, run production quantities, and monitor machine performance.
