Job summary

Momentum Transportation USA is seeking an Operations Specialist to manage day-to-day transportation activities and foster profitable relationships with carriers and drivers. The role is fully onsite, with standard M-F, 8am-5pm hours, and requires focus on customer needs and adaptability as requirements change.

You will schedule and dispatch trucks, monitor shipments, negotiate rates, and maintain carrier relationships while ensuring service levels meet client demands.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BA/BS in Logistics or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch trucks to meet customer demand.
• Track shipments from pickup to delivery and provide updates.
• Negotiate rates with transportation providers.
• Maintain carrier relationships for capacity and service.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, and team members.
• Update transportation management systems.
• Prioritize tasks to improve quality and service.
• Work extended hours at end of month/quarter/year as needed.
• Demonstrate professional behavior and maintain attendance.
