Job summary

Momentum in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Operations Specialist - Dedicated to manage day-to-day transportation activities for our customer. You will schedule and dispatch trucks, track shipments, and negotiate with carriers to secure the best rates and service.

You will report to the Operations Manager and support end-of-month/quarter/year cycles. The role requires strong customer service, knowledge of DOT regulations, and the ability to communicate effectively with carriers and customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• BA/BS in Logistics or related field preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch trucks to meet customer demand.
• Monitor shipments from pickup to delivery and provide updates (Track & Trace).
• Negotiate with transportation providers for best rates and service.
• Maintain relationships with carriers to ensure capacity and service levels.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, and team members.
• Update transportation management and operation systems.
• Work extended hours at end of month/quarter/year as needed.
