Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is hiring TurboTax Local Service Experts to provide hands-on tax preparation, expert advice, and software support at on-site TurboTax locations across the United States.

You will serve as a trusted advisor, helping individuals and businesses with complex and simple taxes, while growing a local client base and coordinating with a team of specialists for a seamless experience.

Qualifications

• EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney with tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Active PTIN required to file taxes as per law.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal/state individual 1040 tax returns per season using professional tax preparation software; Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Willing to upskill into additional service types (bookkeeping, payroll, advisory) with training provided by Intuit.
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office 8:00 AM–5:00 PM local time, Mon–Fri, for at least 20 hours/week.
• Must complete training and development as determined by the business, including compliance training and cross-training of other products.
• Must wear Intuit uniforms and may have name/picture used for advertising.
• Interested in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication is a plus.
• Experience in holistic tax advisory beyond filing.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex situations.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future planning.
• Act as a community ambassador to grow a local client base through outreach, referrals, and partnerships.
• Connect clients with bookkeeping, payroll, planning, or advisory services to address broader needs.
• Deliver a best-in-class customer experience with professional conduct in-person and via video tools.
• Help clients understand their complete financial picture and navigate Intuit’s ecosystem for year-round support.
