Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks an Onsite System Manager to support the U.S. Federal Government LMR network at Travis AFB. The role covers maintenance, cybersecurity, and mission-critical operations for ASTRO 25 systems, with occasional after-hours support for critical events.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cybersecurity/IT administration, 3+ years RF, 2+ years networking, and strong knowledge of P25 trunking and Motorola radios. Travel is minimal, primarily on-site at the base.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Cybersecurity and/or IT System Administration.
• Minimum of three (3) years of RF experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of Networking experience.
• Deep understanding of Motorola Solutions P25 Trunking Network Systems.
• Solid working knowledge of Motorola radio systems and RF theory.
• Proficiency in using hardware and software tools for RF and Networking equipment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary support for LMR Zone Core equipment and network devices.
• Perform planned maintenance and patching activities, including coordinating reboots.
• Ensure backups are transmitted and received between critical servers and BAR servers.
• Collaborate with program managers and engineers to complete MTN applications.
• Provide daily first-level troubleshooting and case management.
• Assist with system integrations and remote site work and testing.
