Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM, is seeking a Facility Maintenance Tech 4 to support the LFO Life Safety Program, ensure NFPA 10 compliance, and help maintain critical life-safety equipment across laboratory facilities.

The role requires inspecting and maintaining life safety systems, coordinating access, documenting work in Mobile Work Package and eSOMS, and collaborating with the MSS-LFO team to keep operations safe and compliant.

Qualifications

• Experience tracking preventive and corrective work orders from start to finish.
• Knowledge of facility policies and NFPA 10 standards.
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with scanners.

Responsibilities

• Participate in LFO Life Safety inspections and maintenance.
• Assist planning, scheduling, and execution of inspections.
• Coordinate access to life safety equipment within facilities.
• Document work using Mobile Work Package and eSOMS.
• Maintain safe, secure, and compliant work environment.
• Ensure work completed per job scope.
• Perform additional maintenance duties as needed.
