Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking a Superintendent to oversee maintenance and repairs of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry. You will organize schedules and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring high-quality work on schedule and cost efficiency.

The role requires experience with safety and lock-out/tag-out procedures, with potential progression to Superintendent 2, and may involve shift work and 24/7 coverage. On-site work at LANL in Los Alamos, NM.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical documents, specifications, drawings, and schematics.
• Understanding of work hazards, safety practices, and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Experience coordinating multi-discipline craft teams and projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.
• Plan, assign, and monitor daily work for maintenance staff; coordinate with Facilities Management and other teams.
• Ensure safety, security, and regulatory compliance, and stop work if unsafe or non-compliant.
