Job summary

C. Herman Construction, LLC seeks an experienced Assistant Superintendent to oversee ground-up, multi-family projects. Candidates should have 3+ years of experience and strong leadership, communication, and safety oversight to manage on-site teams from inception to closeout.

Reporting to the Project Superintendent, the role focuses on coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedules, and ensuring quality and safety on site, with emphasis on meeting milestones and budgets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in ground-up, multi-family projects (100+ units) as Assistant Superintendent or similar.
• Reading and interpreting plans, specifications, drawings, and contracts.
• Experience with project controls and scheduling; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily with the superintendent and manage on-site personnel.
• Ensure safety policies and OSHA requirements are followed.
• Lead weekly meetings with subcontractors and safety teams.
• Monitor subcontractors and budgets to meet deadlines.
• Maintain construction schedule and sequencing.
• Review plans and specs; issue plan changes as needed.
• Prepare daily logs and turnover sheets.
• Keep the site secure and maintain cleanliness.
• Collect delivery tickets and coordinate payments with controller.
