C. Herman Construction is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to oversee ground-up, multi-family projects. The role reports to the Lead Project Superintendent and emphasizes on-site management, safety, and coordination with subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of relevant experience and strong communication, leadership, and scheduling skills. This position offers growth in a family-oriented company with traditional benefits and opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of ground-up, multi-family project experience (100+ units preferred).
• Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred but not required.
• Ability to read plans, specifications and contracts; strong problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily with the superintendent and assist on-site management.
• Oversee on-site personnel and maintain a safe work environment.
• Enforce OSHA safety policies on the jobsite.
• Assist with weekly subcontractor and safety meetings.
• Monitor subcontractors to meet budgets and deadlines.
• Maintain the construction schedule and proper sequencing.
• Review plans for changes and coordinate with team.
