Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific's Unity Lab Services team seeks an on-site inventory and materials handler in Massachusetts. The role involves replenishments, receiving, cycle counts, and order processing at customer sites, with emphasis on safety and accurate data entry.

The candidate should have a high school diploma and 2 years in a lab setting, plus strong English, communication, and customer service skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of related experience in a laboratory setting preferred, plus customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Use inventory/order management electronic systems for on-site replenishments, disbursements, receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry and expediting, and customer service call resolution.
• Perform laboratory services such as order delivery, glassware processing, biological waste processing, chemical inventory receipt/reconciliation, and media preparation.
• Analyzes, maintains, and reconciles reports to ensure contractual requirements are met.
• Proactively connect with the supervisor any customer concerns and address them within established resolution timeframes.
• Participate in safety programs including hazard identification, inspections and incident reporting/investigation.
• Engage in process improvement activities.
• May perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
