Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Chemical Management Specialist to join Unity Lab Services in Massachusetts. You will oversee chemical inventory, maintain compliance, and support lab operations with accurate handling and storage practices.

You will verify inventory, read SDS, and coordinate with EHS to ensure safety and efficiency. A 2–3 year customer-service background in labs or warehouses is preferred, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of customer-service experience in a lab, warehouse, or similar setting.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring peers.

Responsibilities

• Verify chemical inventory levels, locations and expirations via bench audits and counts.
• Receive, inspect, label and store shipments following compatibility and DOT rules.
• Pack and stage orders for distribution or disposal with high accuracy.
• Read SDS sheets to apply proper handling, storage and spill procedures.
• Collaborate with EHS and team to uphold safety and improve workflows.
