Zusammenfassung

University of Kansas Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Coordinator for the Correlative Lab in the Cancer Center. You will coordinate collection and shipment of oncology trial specimens, manage supplies, and support start-up activities and monitor visits.

Based onsite at our Westwood facility with occasional travel to satellite sites; required experience in clinical trials and HIPAA-compliant procedures. Regular, full-time role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry or other science related area.
• Experience with HIPAA guidelines and research regulations.
• Oncology experience is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Obtain, document, process and manage serial specimens from patients in clinical trials.
• Request and ship research-related pathology requests for the CTO; coordinate tissue requests per protocols.
• Perform study-specific ECGs and transmit data to the study database.
• Reference and maintain study protocols and central lab manuals.
• Maintain inventory of study supplies; manage kit orders and destruction.
• Coordinate collection of central study samples with nursing, coordinators, physicians and patients.
• Data entry in Hospital/Lab information systems per policy and procedures.
• Ensure specimen integrity and proper transport of samples.
• Use EMR (Epic) and Outlook lab calendar to schedule collections and couriers.
• Participate in weekly lab rotation, daily patient assignments and handoff emails.
• Support theranostic samples across Bioanalytical and Correlative Labs.
