Job summary

Catholic Charities of Onondaga County is seeking an IT Technician to provide on-site and remote support for hardware, software, and network issues. You’ll install and maintain PCs, printers, and networking gear while guiding end users with clear, friendly training.

The role requires a degree with three years of relevant experience, Windows Server expertise, and a preference for CompTIA A+ certification. Position is 100% onsite at our HOP in Syracuse, NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with three years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience includes desktop, printer and copier installation and troubleshooting; Networking cabling; Routers and wireless networking VPN.
• Remote administration of Local Area Network LAN/WAN installation, support and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of Software/Hardware installation.
• Network protocols in a windows server 2012/2019 environment.
• CompTIA A+ certification or a certificate from a two-year accredited computer technical program preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to end-users on-site and by phone, diagnosing hardware and software issues.
• Install and update computer hardware and software; maintain IT systems and networks.
• Troubleshoot network and printer issues; resolve email and LAN access problems.
• Communicate solutions clearly and provide one-on-one end-user training as needed.
• Report complex issues to Director of IT and assist with PC setup and cabling.
• On-site 100% at our HOP in Syracuse, NY.
