Job summary

NextPath Workforce Solutions is seeking an IT Support Technician to join our client’s team in Albuquerque, NM. This onsite contract position focuses on tier 1-2 tech support, hardware/software troubleshooting, and ticket documentation.

Responsibilities include resolving user issues, updating knowledge bases, and coordinating with vendors. Visa sponsorship is not available; US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of tier 1-2 technical support experience.
• Reliable with a positive attitude and patient demeanor when assisting non-technical users.
• Proficient in Windows computers, Microsoft 365, printers, and common business applications.
• Ability to document work clearly in a ticketing system.
• Willing to use approved AI tools for troubleshooting, documentation, and process improvement.
• Reliable transportation and ability to clear a background check.

Responsibilities

• Respond to assigned helpdesk tickets promptly and provide user support.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, remote access, and printer issues.
• Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
• Follow up with users and update tickets until issues are resolved or escalated.
• Create and update knowledge base articles for common issues.
• Use approved AI tools to assist with support tickets and documentation.
• Assist in opening, tracking, and supporting vendor support tickets as directed.
• Collect screenshots, reports, and system records for compliance and troubleshooting.
• Support basic computer setup, software installation, equipment returns, and inventory tasks.
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate IT team members.
• Support small IT projects or tasks as assigned.
