Job summary

ORS Nasco is seeking an IT Service Desk Technician to join our on-site IT team in Houston, TX. This hands-on role supports warehouse operations and endpoint devices, from desktops to Zebra handhelds, and requires strong customer service to minimize downtime.

The candidate will manage Azure Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows imaging, and collaborate with network teams on firewall, switches, and WMS software to ensure reliable operations across the facility.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in IT Service Desk, help desk, or desktop support.
• Hands-on firewall management with FortiGate, Palo Alto, or SonicWall.
• Knowledge of VLANs and wireless infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Azure administration: VMs, resource groups, subscriptions.
• Entra ID (Azure AD) user management and conditional access.
• Active Directory provisioning, groups, and OU structure.
• Windows 10/11 desktop support and imaging/deployment.
• On-site, independent work in a warehouse environment.
• Strong communication, able to explain tech to non-tech users.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for IT support via phone, email, ticketing, and walk-up.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for end users and warehouse staff.
• Provision and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
• Manage equipment inventory and lifecycle documentation.
• Support warehouse voice-picking devices and WMS client software.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors with proper documentation.
• Assist with firewall, switches, Wi‑Fi, and VLAN tasks.
• Coordinate with network engineers on changes and site expansions.
• Document procedures and resolutions in IT knowledge base.
