EIS Groups in Maryland is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on onsite technical support for employees, diagnosing hardware, software, and network issues, and ensuring smooth operation of business systems.

You will install and configure computers, printers, and peripherals, assist with remote support when needed, and collaborate with IT teams to resolve incidents quickly while maintaining security and documentation.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is strongly preferred.
Previous experience as a Desktop Support Technician, IT Support Specialist, Help Desk Technician, or similar IT position.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on onsite technical support to employees.
Receive, document, prioritize, and resolve hardware and software requests.
Diagnose and troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, network, and connectivity issues.
Configure and deploy new computers, routers, modems, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
Install, configure, update, and maintain operating systems and business applications.
Perform routine inspections, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs of IT equipment.
Provide onsite and remote technical assistance when required.
Assist employees with software, hardware, account-access, and connectivity issues.
