Job summary

Silvus Technologies, an operating unit of Motorola Solutions, seeks an IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure in Irvine, CA. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, respond to help desk tickets, and document IT processes.

This onsite role runs 8:30 am–5:30 pm with 25% travel to other Silvus/Motorola offices. A background check and U.S. citizenship are required due to government contracts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining software and hardware
• Proficient in Windows and macOS environments
• Experience with Layer 1 Networking and Cabling
• Experience with software licensing/de-licensing
• Strong knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 apps
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Entra, and Intune
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• U.S. Citizen due to government contracts; background check required

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to end users and troubleshoot hardware/software issues on desktop or laptop systems
• Respond to IT Help Desk tickets promptly
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software
• Develop and maintain documentation of IT infrastructure and support processes
• Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets
• Onboard/offboard users, manage accounts with HR and Facilities
• Configure and deploy Windows, Linux, and macOS endpoints
• Travel 25% to other Silvus/Motorola office locations
