Job summary

Compucom Staffing, located onsite in Cincinnati, OH, seeks an IT Support & Network Project Technician to join their team. You will lead IT projects, coordinate with multiple teams, and support deskside IT operations in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires 5–7+ years of IT support, networking, and project experience, with strong TCP/IP, VLAN, and security awareness. On-site presence in Cincinnati is essential, with comprehensive ITIL-like processes and end-to-end problem resolution

Qualifications

Minimum 5 to 7+ years of IT support, networking, infrastructure, or technical project experience.
Experience supporting PCs, laptops, printers, and associated peripherals.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Static IP configuration, Subnets and VLANs, Network card configuration, Wired and wireless troubleshooting.
Experience utilizing ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Positive attitude and strong relationship-building capabilities.

Responsibilities

Execute IT projects and initiatives assigned by the IT Site Leader.
Independently manage project tasks, timelines, and deliverables with minimal direction.
Track project progress against deadlines and identify risks, dependencies, and obstacles.
Develop and maintain documentation related to projects, procedures, and technical solutions.
Coordinate activities between local teams, centralized support, vendors, and stakeholders.
Assist with process improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining support responsibilities.
Troubleshoot wired and wireless network connectivity issues for manufacturing-related devices and peripherals.
Configure static IP addresses, network adapters, and VLAN connectivity.
Assist with installation of network drops and structured cabling.
Support data room activities including switch, router, server, storage cabling.
Perform cable termination, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
Demonstrate strong security awareness and integrate company security policies.
