Job summary

LSU New Orleans is seeking an IT End User Computing professional to provide statewide onsite installation, configuration and support for workstations, laptops, printers, and remote devices. Responsibilities include managing user accounts in Active Directory, documenting ticket resolutions, and assisting end users with technical issues to ensure productive work, with travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree with 3 years of professional experience in lieu of degree, or 6 years of professional experience in lieu of degree.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Great attention to detail and follow up.
• Ability to manage projects, assignments, and competing priorities.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Minimum one year of professional experience with ITS information systems or programs utilized by the department.

Responsibilities

• Provide statewide onsite installation, configuration, repair, maintenance and support for state-owned workstations, laptops, printers, and related devices.
• Manage user accounts on local PCs, select servers, and Active Directory.
• Document ticket resolutions using the tracking system.
• Support mobile devices containing State data, including email.
• Train end users on technical issues as preventative maintenance.
• Travel to various sites as needed to carry out duties.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues related to end user problems.
• Restore data from backup systems as needed for end user support.
• Coordinate with internal IT units or external contractors.
