Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to support enterprise-grade data centers in Mount Laurel, NJ on a 3rd shift schedule. The role covers server, cloud, and network operations with emphasis on availability, performance, and incident resolution.

The ideal candidate has strong Cisco/Nexus/Arista/Meraki experience, VMware virtualization, and hands-on data center management. Bachelor's degree and relevant certs are required or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
CCNA/CCNP ITIL certifications preferred.
Experience in a multisite, high-availability data-center environment.

Responsibilities

Server Administration: manage Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.
Cloud Operations: administer AWS, Azure, and O365 workloads.
Virtualization: configure VMware-based infrastructure for performance and scalability.
System Monitoring: leverage SolarWinds and DataDog for reliability.
Incident Management: lead network-related incident resolution and SLA adherence.
Security: implement and support secure networking across on-prem and cloud.
Documentation: maintain topology maps and runbooks.
