Job summary

NRI North America is seeking an IT Technical Support Engineer to provide onsite onboarding support, imaging, asset management, and end-to-end IT operations at the client site in Ashburn, VA. The role emphasizes hands-on hardware preparation and in-person support to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.

The technician collaborates with a remote support resource for configuration and troubleshooting, focusing on physical IT operations and onboarding workflows while ensuring timely device

Qualifications

• Experience in desktop support, IT provisioning, hardware deployment, or technical support.
• Familiarity with imaging and deployment processes.
• Experience with IT asset management and inventory control.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and technical instructions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and transport IT equipment as needed.
• Experience with onboarding workflows and end-user provisioning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, image, configure, deploy, and ship laptops, monitors, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory, lifecycle records, tagging, and storage.
• Coordinate hardware procurement, purchase orders, and vendor relationships.
• Manage corporate mobile devices and Verizon services, including activations and billing.
• Support user account provisioning, MFA, Group Policy, and licensing tasks.
• Assist with archived data requests and legal holds as needed.
• Provide onsite AV/VTC, printers, network connectivity, and office infrastructure support.
• Administer badge access and physical security systems.
• Coordinate with remote IT teams to ensure timely deployments and issue resolution.
• Deliver responsive, professional customer service to employees during onboarding.
