Job summary

UAB information technology department is seeking a Client Support Tech II-ENT to provide accurate and timely IT client support to administrators, faculty, staff, and students. The role includes incident resolution, service requests fulfilment, and data maintenance in the ITSM tool, with on-site and remote support as needed.

Primary duties involve troubleshooting, guiding junior technicians, and maintaining security training compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field and one year of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Responds to incidents for supported IT Clients and systems. Researches and attempts remote resolution, and performs onsite troubleshooting and repair if remote resolution is not possible.
• Responds to service requests for supported IT clients and systems. Provides service remotely when possible and otherwise provides onsite delivery of the service.
• Maintains accurate information and data regarding incident and request response in the ITSM tool. Provides guidance and training to less experienced technicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
