Job summary

Propio Language Services seeks onsite contract interpreters in the Detroit metro area to provide accurate consecutive interpretation between English and all spoken languages. You may also perform remote interpretation by telephone or video, adhering to client protocols and confidentiality requirements.

Applicants should be 18+, fluent in English and at least one additional language, and demonstrate successful interpretation evaluations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Proficiency in English and All Spoken Languages.
• Ability to provide accurate consecutive interpretation.
• Successful completion of applicable language evaluations.
• Résumé in English required during application.
• High school diploma or equivalent education/experience.
• Basic computer and technology proficiency.
• Willingness to travel to onsite assignments.
• Ability to meet health/immunization requirements as needed.
• Background, security, fingerprinting may be required.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics.
• One or more years of professional interpreting experience.
• Experience in medical, legal, community, or social services interpreting.
• Relevant interpreter training, credentials, or certifications.

Responsibilities
