Ensemble Health Partners is seeking an Inpatient Financial Counseling Specialist for an on-site role at Mercy - Lorain Hospital in Lorain, OH. The position involves benefit education, verification of patient liabilities, and collecting patient payments during the inpatient stay.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years of customer service experience and are open to innovative processes, including AI. The role may require nights, weekends, and holidays, with compensation between $18.65 and $19.90 per hour

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.
• CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative) required within 6 months of hire (Company Paid).
• High School Diploma/GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and collect patient liabilities (copays, deductibles, coinsurance, balances).
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist charity processing.
• Perform pre-registration and patient registration tasks.
• Make multiple daily contact attempts to collect payments.
• Communicate with patients by phone and mail about liability.
