Job summary

UMass Memorial Health’s Hahnemann Campus in Worcester is seeking an HVAC Technician to maintain, repair and optimize heating, cooling, and related systems on-site. You will work across hot water, heating and chilled water systems, including steam-related components, ensuring safety and reliability.

The role requires 1–3 years of HVAC experience, EPA CFC Recovery Certification within 6 months, and knowledge of pneumatic temperature controls, with basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• EPA CFC Recovery Certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• One to three years of HVAC maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of pneumatic temperature controls.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and repairs HVAC equipment including hot water and chilled water systems.
• Inspects machine rooms and logs maintenance activities.
• Maintains records and orders supplies.
• Responds to service calls and emergencies and participates in on-call duties.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and adheres to safety procedures.
