Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to support building systems across our facilities. You will install, repair and maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, with a focus on reliability and energy efficiency.

The role requires 1–3 years’ experience, EPA CFC certification within 6 months, and strong problem-solving skills. Work hours are daytime, Monday–Friday, with on-call duties as needed to keep critical systems running.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of HVAC maintenance experience.
• Ability to repair and troubleshoot VAV terminals.
• Knowledge of pneumatic temperature controls.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and repairs HVAC equipment and systems.
• Inspects machine rooms and logs records.
• Maintains logs and orders supplies.
• Keeps work areas clean and safe; follows safety regulations.
• Responds to calls and on-call duties.
