Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a High Voltage GIS Site Supervisor to oversee on-site installation, maintenance, repair, and modernization of GIS substations (69 kV–800 kV). You will lead GE Vernova teams and subcontractors, ensure conformance with EHS and company standards, and act as the on-site client liaison to drive safe, on-schedule execution.

The role requires strong knowledge of GIS, electrical diagrams, and risk analyses, with a focus on zero-incident safety culture.

Qualifications

Expertise with High Voltage GIS substations (69 kV - 800 kV).
Experience in installation, maintenance, repair, and modernization of GIS.
Strong EHS, LOTO and safe-work practices.
Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical diagrams and site plans.
On-site leadership with a strong safety culture.
Fluent in English; French is a plus.
US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate GE Vernova field teams and subcontractors.
Plan and manage installation, maintenance, repair, and modernization activities for HV GIS systems (69 kV - 800 kV).
Ensure work is performed per GE Vernova procedures and IEC/IEEE standards, contract, and customer expectations.
Enforce strict GE Vernova EHS policies and site safety rules.
Oversee quality, inspections, audits, and hold points; report progress daily/weekly/final.
Lead safety meetings and risk analyses (JSA/AHA) and toolbox talks.
Serve as main on-site client interface and resolve GIS-related issues.
Coach junior supervisors and technicians; ensure proper reporting and documentation.
Support commissioning and HV testing activities when required.
