Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a High Voltage GIS Site Supervisor to oversee on-site installation, maintenance, and retrofit activities for HV GIS substations (69 kV–800 kV). You will coordinate GE Vernova field teams and subcontractors, ensure compliance with EHS policies, and communicate with clients to ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires deep HV GIS knowledge, US work authorization, and leadership to guide junior technicians, with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Expertise with high voltage GIS substations (69 kV–800 kV).
• Strong knowledge of EHS, OSHA, NFPA 70E requirements.
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical and layout drawings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise GE Vernova field teams and subcontractors on site.
• Plan and manage installation, maintenance, repair, and retrofit activities for HV GIS systems (69 kV–800 kV).
• Ensure work follows GE Vernova procedures, IEC/IEEE standards, and contract requirements.
• Enforce site safety rules and EHS policies; lead risk assessments.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and final site progress reports; mentor juniors.
