Job summary

Alliance Health at Marie Esther in Marlborough, MA is seeking an HR/Payroll Manager to oversee a bi-weekly payroll, timekeeping, benefits administration, and employee relations for 75+ staff in a long-term care setting.

This on-site role requires collaboration with Finance, supports recruitment/onboarding, audits, and compliance, with a Monday–Friday day shift and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years progressive experience in human resources and payroll operations.
• Experience with Paychex is a plus.
• Prior long-term care setting experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrate clear verbal and written communication.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel and full Office 365 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bi-weekly payroll for 75+ employees using Paychex.
• Manage workers’ compensation claims and coordinate with claims adjuster.
• Partner with Finance for labor distribution and payroll expense recording.
• Assist with payroll-related audits and quarterly/annual reports.
• Coordinate benefits administration and open enrollment.
