Job summary

Alliance Health at Marie Esther in Marlborough, MA is seeking an on-site HR/Payroll Manager for a long-term care facility. The role oversees bi-weekly payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment, and worker’s compensation for 75+ employees, with collaboration across Finance and Accounting.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years in HR/payroll, Paychex experience, strong Excel skills, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience with Paychex a plus.
• 1-3 years of progressive work experience in human resources and payroll operations.
• Prior experience with payroll and timekeeping systems.
• Experience working in a long-term care setting preferred but not required.
• Demonstrate the ability to clearly communicate both in verbal and written communication.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of the full Office 365 suite.
• Works well independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for 75+ employees using Paychex Payroll System.
• Manage workers’ comp claims with claims adjuster.
• Collaborate with Finance on labor distribution and payroll expense recording.
• Assist with audits and benefit administration projects.
• Handle monthly Accounts Payable invoices for the facility.
• Attend off-site trainings as needed.
