Job summary

The role covers payroll oversight, benefits administration, recruitment, labor relations, compliance, and performance development, partnering with executive leadership to cultivate a culture built on respect and accountability.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing or union environments.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance standards.
• Experience or comfortability operating independently.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Advisory: Serve as the primary HR advisor to leadership, providing guidance on workforce planning, organizational development, and succession strategy.
• Payroll & Benefits: Manage the payroll process via Paychex and administer all group health, dental, vision, life, and 401(k) plans.
• Employee Relations: Champion a culture of respect and accountability, maintaining a regular presence on the production floor to build relationships and proactively address concerns.
• Talent Management: Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, interviewing, offer negotiation, and value-based onboarding.
• Labor Relations: Support union contract administration and assist in negotiations as needed.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to DOL, FLSA, OSHA, EEOC, FMLA, and other federal/state regulations.
• Performance & Development: Coordinate annual performance evaluations and identify training initiatives to build workforce capability.
