Job summary

Rheo Engineering in Peoria, IL, seeks an HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR functions and assist the Director of HR in scaling our team. This fully onsite role offers $70,000-$85,000 with strong benefits in a fast-paced environment.

You will own payroll, recruiting, benefits, leave administration, HRIS data integrity, and partner on process improvements that help Rheo grow while maintaining compliance and a high-eq work culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in HR/Business or 6+ years of HR experience in lieu of degree.
• 4+ years of HR generalist or related experience.
• Full-cycle recruiting and hiring experience.
• Hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Experience administering benefits and leave, including FMLA.

Responsibilities

• Support hiring: posting, screening, interview coordination, and offer generation.
• Onboarding and offboarding: orientation, new-hire docs, final-pay, benefits closeout.
• Administer benefits: enrollment, changes, deductions, open enrollment, inquiries.
• Produce benefits data reporting: census, ACA data, plan utilization.
• Administer leave: FMLA, ADA, non-FMLA, return-to-work coordination.
• Payroll: biweekly time entry, pay changes, garnishments, pre-transmission review.
• HR systems: maintain data integrity and recurring reporting.
• Policy updates with Director of HR and compliance.
