Job summary

Institute of American Indian & in Santa Fe, NM, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to manage Paylocity configuration, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and compliance in an onsite HR team of two. You will help strengthen HR systems, document processes, and drive continuous improvement across the employee lifecycle.

Working closely with the HR Director, you will coordinate recruiting cycles, manage HR forms, and ensure accurate data in the HRIS while supporting training, onboarding, and policy

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and three years of progressively responsible HR experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field and two years HR experience.
• Hands-on experience in at least two areas: recruiting coordination, onboarding, benefits administration, leave administration, or HRIS data management.
• Working proficiency with an HRIS or payroll platform and with Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary hands-on administrator for Paylocity, handling configuration, testing, and rollout for assigned modules including recruiting, onboarding, performance, time and labor, and learning.
• Build, test, and document Paylocity workflows with the HR Director and IT.
• Create, write, and maintain standard operating procedures for core HR processes.
