Job summary

Magnum Electric is seeking an experienced Onsite HR Generalist to support operations at a large, fast-paced project in Ellendale, North Dakota. This role will serve as the onsite HR lead, supporting the workforce and project leadership team with day-to-day employee relations, onboarding, compliance, communication, and general HR support.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, professional, and comfortable working in a construction environment with a large field workforce.

Qualifications

• Previous HR experience required.
• Construction, industrial, or field-based environments preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive information professionally and confidentially.
• Ability to work independently while supporting project leadership and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite HR point of contact for employees and project leadership
• Support employee onboarding, orientation, and new hire paperwork
• Assist with workforce communication, policy administration, and employee support
• Help manage attendance-related processes, workforce tracking, and general personnel documentation
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR documentation is handled properly
• Partner with project leadership on workforce planning, employee relations, and field support needs
• Address employee questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with policy enforcement and maintain consistency in HR practices onsite
• Support offboarding, employee status changes, and other HR processes as needed
• Help promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
